AWAKENING

Awakening is an interdisciplinary project that uses audio-visual techniques to convey the performance. The video examines the role played by nature in our everyday lives and how it can enhance our individual experience.
Thinking about our freedom and the need to defend it encourages us to reflect on the space that surrounds us, especially above us. We are grounded beings, attached to the earth, and yet we are aware of the infinite space that we think of as the sky. In providing us with perceptions of the earth, of wind and light, nature helps us recover our sense of who we really are. As we let go of our thoughts we are able to connect with the primary act of breathing, and our breath reminds us of what is truly important.
