Sabine Raffeiner has choreographed a piece based on a poem by Paolo Quarta. The subject is the complex similarities and differences between human beings, their resilience and uniqueness, and the effects – both good and bad – to which they can give rise. On stage dancers Hugo Olagnon and Giulia Manica interpret the score and text in a multimedia performance that explores in depth contrasting emotions and ideas drawn together in a dynamic interplay of harmony and contradiction. The images by Christian Lang projected onto the backdrop use metaphor and realism to reveal the events portrayed on stage in a new light. Often the diaphragm between projection and dance dissolves, reconciling the contradictions in a unified vision.
