KALLIOPE UND DIE ANDEREN

PERFORMANCE
WORLD PREMIERE

This solo item takes place in the Room of the Muses. The ceiling frescoes portray Calliope, the muse of epic poetry, Thalia, the muse of comedy and Melpomene, the muse of tragedy. We can also see Terpsichore, the muse of music, song and dance, and Urania, the goddess of astronomy and astrology.
The choreography conjures up the cold air that emanates from the thick stone walls and fills the room with life. The dancer’s body echoes the numerous baroque frescoes, completing the figures that time has partly erased on the silent walls.
