CYCLIC BLISS

This performance is an ode to femininity. Woman is portrayed in all her cyclical nature, drawing attention to the various aspects of this biological cycle, in many cultures still considered a taboo and associated with shame and impurity.
Widespread use of noxious substances such as pesticides and increased stress due to unnatural rhythms of life have meant that a growing number of women now suffer from hormone deficiency. During the performance the three dancers express the need to slow down, to recover balance through deceleration. Through an exploration of the various stages of the female cycle, audiences are invited to think about their own rhythms and lifestyle. Cyclic Bliss provides surprising insights into the concept “cyclical beatitude”.
